 College of Humanities
 
 
The College of Humanities at HUFS consists of majors in Philosophy, History and Linguistics & Cognitive Science. Its curriculum aims to identify and promote values through the studies of humanities, which is a foundation for other scientific fields: the study of humans through their humanity. Through studying to properly understand our human values and our ability to express ourselves, the College of Humanities suggests ways to study humanities throughout the world.
 
 College of Interpretation and Translation
 
 
The College of Interpretation and Translation, whose educational environment is unmatched in Korea, consists of the English Interpretation and Translation Division, Department of German Interpretation and Translation, Department of Spanish Interpretation and Translation, Department of Italian Interpretation and Translation, Department of Chinese Interpretation and Translation, Department of Japanese Interpretation and Translation, Department of Thai Interpretation and Translation, Department of Arabic Interpretation and Translation and Department of Malay-Indonesian Interpretation and Translation.
 
The curriculum is designed to cultivate globalized professionals in interpretation and translation, who have extensive knowledge in regional studies and human and social sciences, including politics, economy, society and culture, as well as excellent language fluency to facilitate international communication and contribute to national development.
 
 College of Central and Eastern European Studies
 
 
The College of Central and Eastern European Studies consists of the Department of Russian, Department of Polish, Department of Romanian, Department of Czech and Slovak Studies, Department of Hungarian and Department of South Slavic Studies. It is Korea’s best and only educational institution in Eastern European studies. As a home to many Eastern European experts, it leads the development of Eastern European studies in Korea and promotes the differentiated future value of individual students.
 
 College of Languages and Literature
The College of Languages and Literature consists of the Department of French, Department of Portuguese (Brazilian), Department of Greek and Balkan Languages, Department of Hindi, Department of Central Asian Languages and Division of African Studies. The curriculum is designed for students to enhance perspectives on overseas areas and sophisticated language skills through classes conducted by native-speaking professors. It also has courses in major fields for students to deepen academic knowledge in the areas of their interest.
 
 College of Economics and Business
 
 
Consisting of Department of International Business, Department of Economics and Department of Management Information Systems, the College of Economics and Business cultivates talented staff equipped with quick responsiveness and applications required by future society, along with an international mindset developed through proactive affiliation with related fields. Students lay a firm foundation to move toward the world by acquiring creative business techniques as well as excellent foreign language abilities, a signature strength of HUFS.
 
 College of Natural Science
 
 
As an educational and research institution in the natural sciences, basic science for the national competitiveness in the 21st century, the College of Natural Sciences at HUFS consists of majors in Mathematics, Information Statistics, Electronic Physics, Environmental Science, Bioscience and Biotechnology, and Chemistry and Chemical Biology. Based on a deep understanding of nature and the university education required by today’s information and knowledge-based society, the College of Natural Sciences produces talented manpower generating synergy between nature and humans, as well as between people, creating values for the future.
 
 College of Engineering
 
 
The home of majors in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Communications Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Digital Information Engineering, and the Industrial and Management Engineering Division, the College of Information and Industrial Engineering creates synergy between IT-related departments, including electronics, computer engineering, information and communication, automation and systems engineering, and offers a specialized educational environment. Through the most up-to-date curriculum and thorough classes by young and competent faculty with abundant experience in the field, students gain both practical high-tech knowledge and field adaptability
 
 Division of International Sports & Leisure
 
 
The Division of International Sports & Leisure was newly opened in 2007 to promote related industries by producing globalized specialists in the planning and management of sports and leisure, increase sports and leisure enthusiasts and contribute to expanding sound recreational activities for people today. It aims at developing key leaders who will paly a crucial role in raising the stature of the Korean sports industry on the international stage, including international sports marketing experts & diplomats and administrative experts.

The wide range of our elective courses is providing an opportunity for students to explore areas of special interest. Our elective courses are divided into several categories such as Practical Languages, Literature & Arts, Society & Cultures, History & Philosophy, Information Technology, Health & Reports and so on.
