Organization of DECO

The following graph represents the organization of DECO dictionary.

 

 

The current version(V02-2010) of DECO dictionary is mainly composed of the following two sub-dictionaries:

 

- Entries of DECO-BS : All entries of basic (Simple) Words

     <NS> : Nouns (<ZNZ>/<ZNM>/<ZND>/<ZNP>/<ZNU>/<ZNT> & some of <ZNX>(only 2-syllable nouns)/<ZNF>)

     <VS> : Verbs

     <AS> : Adjectives

     <DS> : Adverbs

- Entries of DECO-ES : All entries of Non-Basic Nouns of <NS>

     <ZNX> : Derived & Compound Nouns

     <ZNF> : Foreign Nouns

     <ZNE> : Encyclopedic Proper Nouns

     <ZNC> : Corpus-based Proper Nouns

The dictionary {DECO.dic} may be automatically transformed into the following format called {DECO-BSflx.txt} where all syllables of roots are decomposed into consonants and vowels and multiplicated into several variants if necessary (e.g. irregular verbs). The latter is ready to be associated with a sub-set of inflectional suffixes by means of the number of inflectional classes. The following graph represents the 4 sets of inflectional suffixes, i.e. <="" and=""
